Healing

Today I smiled for a minute,
Looked in the fountain and saw a beautiful reflection in it
Went speeding down the highway with my windows down,
Let the January breeze mess up my hair, I looked like a clown
I had a milkshake, not a martini
I sought after life, didn’t try to escape from it,
I know every winter becomes a warm beautiful spring,
And before long I will wear this burgundy bikini
Today, I caught myself laughing for minute,
Laughing without you,
Happy without you.
These old issues are pealing,
Away like old paint,
I still love you-
But I am healing.
