*To Trish, and All the Military wives&Families.
Loving you, all these years
I have learned to wipe my own tears
I have learned how to be here,
And see you there...
Sometimes,
The breeze will move my bangs into perfect place
Sometimes I will look up,
Knowing that I could never love you less,
I find that somehow,
You are here still,
And you are the reason I feel
Standing here on this hill
Where they buried you,
Took you away right before I married you,
You are the reason I feel
My tortured heart start to heal.
Because here you are loving me in your own way,
Reminding me that you are not far away
Our state flag reflection in my glistening tears,
And I am still loving you after all these years.
I have learned to wipe my own tears
I have learned how to be here,
And see you there...
Sometimes,
The breeze will move my bangs into perfect place
Sometimes I will look up,
Knowing that I could never love you less,
I find that somehow,
You are here still,
And you are the reason I feel
Standing here on this hill
Where they buried you,
Took you away right before I married you,
You are the reason I feel
My tortured heart start to heal.
Because here you are loving me in your own way,
Reminding me that you are not far away
Our state flag reflection in my glistening tears,
And I am still loving you after all these years.
